Regional Finals 2009

Petronas Malaysia has launched ‘The Formula One Technology Challenge’ to provide students the opportunity to keep abreast of current development in technology.

This programme has been a significant part of the student experience in Malaysia. It inspired at giving students-even in remote areas – access to F1 technology, an accelerated path to latest technology advancement and a broader world view through creative design. It has taken even greater strides into helping put the fun back into learning.

To rise to this challenge the school has put together two teams ; Lightning Blaze and Hyper Infinity to represent the school at the regional level competition. The teams then report a greater excitement for representing the East Coast region to the nationals. Having to analyse the car design using Computer Aided Design (CAD) or Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), the team needs to raise funds to compensate for their operating expenses.

To help students on this competition, the school, teachers, local community of Bukit Goh, Bukit Sagu and Bukit Kuantan , individuals and private companies contributed generously. Through these sponsors the teams are given the opportunity to push the limits of their creativity to engage in a more satisfying performance.

Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action; reap a habit; sow a habit; reap a character; sow a character reap a DESTINY, states a Chinese proverb. The DESTINY that will be sown through this competition is the destiny of Malaysian students, a world class students. We thank you – sponsors, principal, teachers, parents and friends- for being part of this great endeavour.
